That’s right, kids. It’s update time. So, Mint gets the final insult on frou frou guy (who apparently enjoys the freedom of the robe and silk undies), and the plot is about to get underway. If all goes well, I’ll be sticking to this M-W-Sat thing as long as I can pull it off, except the following week which has May 26. I’ll be in San Diego during that week for 4 days, so most likely, all you’ll see is a Saturday update that week. Not sure yet if that is true or not. We’ll see. Maybe I’ll surprise everyone.

If you clicked our link from HFH, please know that while we haven’t updated in a little while, that is about to change, abruptly, this week. Y’see, I’ve been working on comics for a publisher, so I’ve had to put my projects on brief hold. I have a new page drawn, and all it’s waiting for is inking and coloring. So I am hoping to have it up in a day or two, tops. In the meantime, feel free to browse the links on the site, particularly “SHIP IN A BOTTLE” at the right over there. It’s my sexy, fantasy, genie comic on which I collaborate with a friend. It updates every Friday, and we have an interesting initiative going on there that may fascinate you. Secondly, although there is only three pages there now, BGR will have at least one arc completed very soon. After I finish my current bit for the publisher, I am going to bang out the remaining 8 pages of my own work, and then pester my follow-up artists to finish the fifth page of her mini arc. At which point, there will be 16 pages of that to enjoy. So all-in-all, we’re going to have some great stuff for you very, very soon. So in case anyone was watching, this motherfuck has come back to life. I’m pretty pleased with it so far, and now that the first sex scene is over, it’s time to get into the actual PLOT of this episode. Be keeping an eye out for a kind of “monthly donation” incentive. Now, why do it say it in that seemingly cagey kinda way? Here’s the deal: certain payment processors do not want to be affiliated with smut. That’s ok. Because what I am giving you for your donation is a piece of SLIGHTLY or MOSTLY but not COMPLETELY naughty gifts as a sort of “thank you” for purchasing a slice of my time. My ideal scenario is to set things up so that you can get funny little “one shot” comics (a single, full page panel) with funny dialog, compromising situations and general sexienss. But, if people feel this is a problem, rather than making life difficult for me, financially, let’s work a better plan out. I am more than happy to put a whole bunch of random, funny and sexy stuff behind a “pay wall” and folks can access the content for as small of a pittance as CCBill will allow me to offer. I’d rather do that, legitimately, than create some kind of grudge, perceived or otherwise, with my fans and fellow internet denizens. So, this posting is your opportunity to tell me what you would prefer: a nod and a wink with some good will from me for your charity, or a full-on members only section. If we end up doing the latter, rest assured that I WILL NOT NOW, NOR WILL I EVER make the primary comic or the BGR spinoff part of that deal. they are free and will remain so as long as I am able. But I need a little extra skrilla-dilla to cover some minor expenses. This in turn will motivate me to spend more time on this and Ship in a Bottle than I do at my “day job”, and an increase in productivity will categorically benefit you, as you will start getting more pages per month for your investment. So please sound off in the comments area here, I visit the site several times a day and will approve any legitimate remark immediately for everyone’s consideration.

Blue Gray Rhapsody

I know, we keep meeting like this, don’t we. But there is some good news for genuine Peppermint fans! Blue Gray Rhapsody, my parody/cameo comic set in an alternate universe is live! Follow Princess Peppermint as she scours the known universe in search of hidden treasure. As a renowned treasure hunter, she only goes after the most valuable and rarest artifacts known to sentient beings, but there’s a catch: close on her heels are agents of a nemesis who will stop at nothing to ensure that Peppermint’s reputation as the best is forever tarnished! Couple that with the constant distraction of her insatiable libido and the many, many guest stars who want to sex her and her friends up, and you have a recipe for sexy hilarity! Updates Saturdays (when there’s a guest star and script. XD)

Basically, I have brokered deals with a handful of artists who are known for their pinups and “hentai” comics and stories to bring you Peppermint Saga: Blue Gray Rhapsody (the title is a joke on Project Ako: Blue Side and Gray Side because those episodes took place in another universe where things were almost a mirror opposite to the canon world). so far, with the help of Warchief, Verias and DarkZuri (you can find them all on Fur Affinity), I will be bringing you three different episodes of which each is anywhere from 5 to 11 pages in length. It’s mostly seamy sex in ancient ruins and forbidden castles at the far reaches of the universe, but I still think it can be great fun. So check back often. I am drawing the first episode because Warchief is not really a comic artist, but rather exclusively a pinup artist. But he’ll be contributing a handful of pinups related to the story he helped me edit guest-starring his half-elf gal, Willow.

Hey, also, if you feel like helping out, we now have a donation button at the right. A few bucks now and then would be very helpful in keeping me going, but there’s no obligation, of course.

Ok, the second page of Ship in a Bottle has gone live, so that means this thing is official! This comic stands a much greater chance of updating on a schedule come hell or high water because I am in cahoots with another artist. Her continued participation depends on this thing going up in a timely fashion and, perhaps, making a few pennies here and there. So I have an incentive to try and make it worth her while. Meanwhile, I am still waiting to hear back from two different artists in regards to a special tangential spinoff to Peppermint Saga. I am code-naming it “BGR” for now, and it is a “cameo” comic set in an alternate reality. So you may see things that are quite contrary to the “official” timeline I am beginning to weave here. Which of the two stories gets run first depends entirely on which artist is able to produce the work first. More as that develops. Where Are We?

Fun times. Hey, for those of you wondering, Peppermint Saga is taking a bit of a back seat for a while as I “assist” Mike over at Starship Moonhawk with the updating blitz. In non-doubletalk, it means I am focusing my efforts on the “straight” series for a bit while I get it back up to its former glory. there have been story changes, artist changes, bad turns of fortune, the works. all this led to a “3.0 Restart”. We’re almost through Act I, and my personal goal is all of the first three acts completed by October 1. That’s a lofty goal, but it means there will be pretty much no time for anything else. I am doing my best to speed up my process so I can resume your favorite wandering swordswoman’s quest, but please bear with us a little longer. Your patience is always appreciated.

While You Wait…(Retrospective)

Well, while you wait patiently (or not so patiently) for Saturday, I thought I’d upload the first of these: that’s right, kids. I’m "remastering" the first 10 pages into vibrant color! Semira Fallen was forced to move on to other things, and I really appreciate what she did for me, but I realized that my style had improved so much, it was necessary for me to give the early comics a color facelift, and spiffy up the text a little. Although as far as the text goes, all I did there was change the font and "stroke" the speech balloons so they had a black border and stood out a little better.

The difference is night and day. And it is staggering. I’ll let you, the loyal readers, decide if this is a step up or not. But I’m pretty sure all of you will like it. And the fact that the comic will eventually be front-to-back full-color at some point.

No Thursday Update, But Vote “YES” on Saturday This Week!

So, if it wasn’t obvious by now, there won’t be two updates this week, and it sucks. My “day job” only gave me one day off this week, and the less down time I have, the harder it is to kick-start even making one page a week. So, yay for overtime in a crippling recession, but boo for not being able to do Peppermint Saga.

I realize just how important updates are, and frankly, it infuriates me. Because this is one more opportunity to try and make some change and stop living paycheck to paycheck. “Wow, starting in with the ‘selling out for fun and profit’ a tad early, aren’t we?” No. More like, “Lamenting I can’t work on this because it is infinitely more entertaining than what I regularly do.” What I regularly do sucks. A lot.

So, we’ll see you Saturday with some more revelations about how Truth’s powers work and definitely more funny. Sexy should be in the next 4 pages or so. ;P

Peppermint Saga Pinups!

Been a long time since I did one of these, and it’s in my "new" style, of course. Got a crit elsewhere that one of the eyes was off, but if you look carefully at any photo of me, *GASP!* you’ll see that one of my eyes is higher up than the other! We all have little quirks that make us unique. In fairness, it was more pronounced before I fixed her, and if that’s the worst thing people choose to say about my drawing, then I’ll count myself lucky. Lucky enough to decide to contemplate my next piece instead of obsessing more over this one.

In other news, Dreamhost must have done some routine maintinence on the servers or something. The site was gone until about 8AM this morning. 8 hours… gone. Hurt pageviews. But then again, weekends are kinda doldrums anyway. I was too tired to update. I wish I had a backlog, but I kinda draw this up on the fly. So I apologize again for lateness and flakiness in the schedule. Keep those RSS readers tuned in. I’m very good about keeping the public informed.

Oh, also, it *IS* possible to "encourage" me to cough up a high resolution version of my smut, but I can’t overtly ask anyone to gimmie money via PayPal. Y’see, they frown on that. Maybe commission me or something? I dunno. Look up my "straight" account on DA (http://maciapaladin.deviantart.com) or visit the forums and look for the commission rates via the admin account of the same name. I’m not ashamed to work for my bread.

Site Upgrades/Latest Progress

Still working on some minor script revisions. I’m working on spiffying up the webpage while those script elements elude me. As you can see, we now have a CBox “chatterbox” on the site now, so you can voice your displeasure at the lack of updates yet in real time! (and of course, we DO have a forum. Drop by and log in, and we’ll give you the password if yer legal. )

I’m working on something I rarely ever do: I am making actual graphics for the website. God, it takes me so long to draw anything not because I am a slow artist, but because I am kinda in an artistic rut that has lasted for damn near 6 years now. It’s starting to give me the red ass. BUT… enough about my whiny EMO shit. Updates will be a-comin’, and you will be quite amused by the second half of “The Sword of Truth”!
