New Updates and THE FUTURE!

That’s right, kids. Your favorite, poorly-drawn smut-porn, sci-fantasy epic is returning SATURDAY! I finally got the gumption to get a new page rolling, and while it continues the talky part of the previous scene, it’s still pretty decent, methinks. This (hopefully) will be the beginning of a new wave of updates finally brining “The Chains of Chastity” to a close. Now, I know at one point I was talking rumors of bringing in a new artist, but due to financial reasons, I can’t even begin to contemplate doing that at this time. And that’s a shame, because I was going to try and work again with Prettio, who did some fucking A-MAZING work on Ship in a Bottle about a year-and-a-half ago. But, C’est la vie. I know that I will be able to work with her again in the future. In the meantime, you will see a renewed effort on my part to keep this thing up to date in a proper fashion, because I have some story arcs coming up that will have you laughing your ass off as you polish your knob.

The second matter regards Blue-Gray Rhapsody/BGR, and that is that I have decided that, aside from one arc which is tied directly to the main Peppermint Saga plot, BGR will be a flagship title, along with Ship in a Bottle bonuses and side-arcs in a paysite that we will be developing at an undisclosed, later date. The truth of the matter is that I have not been able to find enough enthusiasm for crossover events to warrant keeping BGR in its original format and “delivery schedule”. So, enjoy what I have given for free as I will not be taking that away. And thanks to the two great artists who added some color to that side of the Peppermint Saga “franchise”.

Last, but certainly not least: I am re-opening bonus “panels”. For each $25 earned via the ChipIn widget on the right, I will add a new “bonus” panel in the same vein as the “It’s Not What You Think!” piece I made back in 2010. I figure this is an easy enough goal and a reasonable incentive to get folks to help me with my MASSIVE debt. Earned bonuses will be found in the “Extras” gallery above.

Where Are We?

Hey All!

I can imagine if not too many folks are still checking this place out. Like with my “legitimate” comics, such as Starship Moonhawk and The Lavenders, updates tend to be “unreliable” at best. I am working towards a method for changing that. My first goal is to complete “The Chains of Chastity” on my own. Then, I am very strongly considering hiring an artist to take over the series. If for no other reason than I’d really like to get back to Starship Moonhawk. Book sales have been flagging because I have no way to re-direct fans to it for sales because the webcomic has been so horrifyingly neglected over the past 13 years. I’d love to do them all. But I’ve just had to accept the fact that I can do at most one, in addition to my work for DarkBrain, and that’s pretty much it.

So, keep an eye on this spot for just a little bit longer. I hope to have something new for you very, very soon.

For Those of You Joining Us For the First Time…

For a long time, I have tried to get into a “groove” with this comic. Ultimately, my goal is to update twice or more per week. I missed last week, but there are irrelevant mitigating circumstances I won’t bore you with. But, I do have another page drawn and inked and almost ready for Friday. Hopefully, I can keep that up, and then stretch it further. I think a lot of the time, I tend to overthink the planning phase and worry myself into inaction. (been sitting on a few commissions as a result, too…) Anyway, that won’t be happening this week. 😉

Whoops!

Didn’t want everyone to think I abandoned them! Comic usually updates on Friday, but this week I’ve had birthdays and well, ok. You got me. Xenoblade Chronicles came out yesterday. So… >.>

Stick with Ship in a Bottle, and I’ll try and do some stuff this coming week! But we’re NOT going back on hiatus. That’s just not happening. (I have money and advertising on the line, now.)

How Things Are Going

Ok, so those of you still around know that, in the past, I have talked about updates and wanting to do this and that with the comic. But over the past 5 years, I’ve been… a tad negligent. I’ve been reluctant this time out to commit to a day for updates because, even though I have made two updates so far this year, they were not on the same day of the week. But, I think I’m going to change all that. Going forward, Peppermint Saga will update on Friday, and that’s just the way it will be. We have 17 pages left in “The Chains of Chastity”, and I am scripted WELL ahead in this series unlike so many of my others. So until I run out of that, writing will never be my excuse for lack of updates. Other than that, I forgot to mention that I uploaded a bunch of stuff into the Bonus gallery in terms of artwork I have done, but not widely publicized over the years. So, hopefully, that will give everyone an excuse to check things out. 🙂
